FAQ

  • RoamFit is a specialized, high-grade solution engineered for a very specific challenge: providing world-class strength training in environments where space is at an absolute premium.

When you invest in RoamFit, you’re not just buying a piece of equipment — you’re investing in:

    • Increase Listing Appeal: Instantly add "Full Gym Facilities" to your yacht’s amenities list, attracting health-conscious guests.

    • Unmatched Space Efficiency: At only 10 kg and 81x51 cm, it stows away in a standard locker or lazarette in seconds.

    • Easy for crew: Extremely lightweight and low maintenance. No complex setup or installation required.

    • Marine-Grade : Built to last in salt-air environments with an aluminum chassis, stainless steel components, and encapsulated electronics.

    • Exercise Versatility: 70+ exercises including loaded squats, deadlifts, and rotational movements for a true full-body workout. Dynamic, high-inertia resistance (up to 120kg/260 lbs feel) that adapts to the user's strength in real-time.

    • Safety: No heavy equipment that can topple in a swell or be accidentally dropped and damage teak decks, or cause injuries to guests or crew.

    • Long-term ROI: A one-time investment that pays for itself by justifying higher charter rates and securing more bookings.

  • It depends on the environment. Obviously always keep the equipment clean. For longest life, don’t leave your Roamfit out in the sun, uncovered.

The Roamfit is mostly made of very corrosion resistant materials like stainless steel and aluminum but both the flywheels and the swiveling pulley block (where you connect your attachments) are made out of mild steel for engineering purposes.

It is always recommended to take extra care of these two parts:

The swiveling pulley block is made of mild steel and users in corrosive environments can experience surface rust on this part. Try and keep clean. The regular use of e.g. a rust protection wax might work well. But something like a bit of WD40 and regular cleaning will probably suffice for most users.

If the flywheels are chipped the steel plate beneath will be exposed. Always treat the plates with care, and if chipped treat the damaged area with an appropriate method. A cold galvanizing spray or a rust protection paint might work well. But, again, something like a bit of WD40 and regular cleaning will probably suffice.

  • Flywheel training is a great tool for all levels and all ages, being based on Variable Resistance each exercise can be adjusted to the level and age of the user.

  • Flywheel training is based on variable resistance that comes from the level of inertia used to perform an exercise, whereas regular weight machines are dependant on gravity. One relatively lightweight flywheel can create the resistance of heavy weights.

  • It’s actually a bit of a 'physics' answer. But, yes!

We include 2 large, 1 medium, and 1 small flywheel (totaling 27.5 lbs). But unlike free weights (gravity), the resistance is based on Inertia + Speed.

The harder you pull (concentric), the more energy is stored, and the heavier the resistance becomes on the way back (eccentric). It’s 'self-matching'—it adapts to your strength in real-time. 🏋️

How heavy does it feel? It’s hard to give a 1:1 'barbell number,' but to give you an idea: For a deadlift/RDL, the included wheels feel equivalent to roughly 120kg / 260 lbs on a barbell for me.

For most users, this is more than enough. The beauty is that as you get more explosive, the wheels naturally become more challenging. And if you outgrow them, you can always contact us and we’ll help you to add more!

  • By offering variable resistance and eccentric overload, flywheel training has been scientifically proven to be superior to weights for both strength gains & muscle hypertrophy.

  • You can quantify your training output in the app where you can track all of your progress and keep records of previous training sessions in order to program your flywheel training.
